Spring Cleanups have a minimum charge of $148 for the 1st hour, and an additional $32 for every quarter hour after. Spring Cleanups are required for all service customers and will be added automatically if not selected.
If ordering a Spring Cleanup, customers must read and agree to the Cleanup Advisory before they are able to continue with their order.
For Spring Clean Up customers, pools will be bottom skimmed and brushed first. Brushing is an essential step in the cleanup process as it will loosen dirt that has adhered to the pool surface. This may leave the pool temporarily cloudy. However, the debris will filter and settle out, which will enable our technicians to efficiently vacuum out as much organic material as possible at the following service visit. Vacuuming will not be performed on the same day as opening. Additional cleanup time beyond the initial hour may be required over multiple visits before you can enjoy the use of your pool. Most clean ups require multiple visits and can take up to 2 weeks to achieve a clean and balanced pool. Some stops may just be cleaning all baskets, backwashing the filter, and checking water chemistry, while other stops may be to vacuum. Billing is based on time spent working on the pool and not on the number of visits. Spring clean ups are billed at $32 per quarter hour beyond the first hour. Proper water chemistry is only attainable after continued cleaning, chemical sanitization, and filtration. Chemicals are not included in the labor charge; however, they are necessary to get your pool in a swim-ready state. As such, your pool will be balanced using our chemicals and billed accordingly unless otherwise specified in writing by the customer. *As some spring clean ups can turn into an expensive bill, it is the customer’s responsibility to contact our office to inquire about an up-to-date cost during the process and/or to stop the cleanup service. Otherwise, we will continue to return until cleanup is complete. The cost of cleanups can vary from year to year due to water and weather conditions upon opening. Please note we do everything possible to complete all jobs in a timely manner. Factors including weather, heavy rain storms causing pool wash in’s, the condition of the water, and issues with existing pool equipment may cause delays beyond our control in finishing the cleanup. Due to pool equipment sitting dormant outside in the off-season for upwards of 6 months, problems may arise with equipment soon after opening.
